Drawing upon 50 personal accounts from women who have faced the issues for real, it aims to help you to better understand breast reconstruction: the surgical process involved and the possible benefits and problems you might expect from this type of surgery. This title: features full colour illustrations to help show exactly what is involved; explores psychological aspects of breast reconstruction; addresses the options for those who decide not to undergo reconstructive surgery; and, explains how other treatments may affect or be affected by reconstruction.This title is to be publicised in conjunction with other new book, "Breast Cancer: Answers at your fingertips". Press releases and review copies will be sent to lifestyle magazines, health magazines and national newspapers. Extra government funding has been made available for the training of surgeons to perform this specialist procedure. This funding should result in a much higher number of patients undergoing reconstructive surgery over the next few years.
